About Us

My name is Kathy Otto and I am the founder of KYBYS Genealogy Research. I was born and raised in New York City. My family moved to Chicago when I was 15. Now at the age of 52, I live two hours south of Chicago, which my children call "the middle of nowhere".

I am the mother of ten children and six grandchildren. Six of my children are adopted. I want to be able to help them trace their roots, when that time comes.

I started doing genealogy about 8 years ago. It all stared with a family reunion. And once the search begins, it takes hold of your soul and you can't stop. You must have patience to wait for all the documents you send for. And lots of prayers that they contain the information you want. Over the years, I have collected a great amount of information that I wanted to share with people.

I hope you find our website helpful. Please continue to check back with us, updates will be happening all the time. Contact us, if we can help in any way.

We hope you enjoy our website. Please check back often, updates will be happening all the time.

My name is Fran (Miller) Heffelfinger. I am the webmaster for KYBYS.com.

In 1996, I graduated from Kankakee Community College with an Associate Degree in Administrative Assistance. While attending, I learned to love computers and creating graphics and designs. I enjoyed the challenges and often exceeded the requirement for class projects. This was the beginning of my career as a webmaster. Since then, I have been building Web sites for small local businesses and individuals.

I established Star Data Solutions in 2002. My goal is to produce Websites that are user-friendly, unique, effective and attractive. In other words, professional. I strive each day to learn something that will help my clients achieve the best Website on the Internet. You can view my portfolio at www.stardatasolutions.com.

Miss Addie Barnhart had "Bill" Proudfoot arrested last Saturday, on a charge of bastardy. The warrant was issued by Justice Lemley and placed in the hands of Constable Holland, who after a lively tussle and with the aid of help succeeded in making the arrest and getting Proudfoot in the presence of the Justice, who was going to bind him over to appear at court, under a bond of $500, and while the Constable was out with him hunting up bondsmen he skipped, and they took a lively race around the square until landed in a brush pile in the rear of the school house, where he was overhauled by the Constable. After this Proudfoot tried to compromise, but the fair Addie would have nothing to do with him while in a state of intoxication, and guards were put over him until Monday morning, but he concluded he would like to sniff the air of Ohio and accordingly gave the guards the slip and he could have been seen the next morning sitting on a log opposite this place, deeply interested in singing that old and familiar song "Baby Mine." On Monday a compromise was effected and Billy Proudfoot is a happy man, and through, to a certain extent with his "trials here below."
