My name is
Elizabeth Charlotte Barbara Kracht. I was born on November 9, 1891
in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. I am the sixth child of Christian
Frederick Kracht and Elizabetha D. Doerner. My parents were both
born in Germany and my father was a farmer. My mother married father
after he had widowed, with 6 children.
I grew up
just north of Evansville, Indiana in Scott Township. My family attended
The Trinity Lutheran Church in Darmstadt. In August of 1911, I married
Edward Benjamin Erk, who was a farmer. We never had any children.
I died in December of 1924. I am buried at Trinity Lutheran Church
Cemetery with the rest of my family.
